Would you like to help out the animals? There are always many things we need to update around the ranch. BIRD TOYS are something we really use up quickly. If you have any bird toys or dog toys lying around that you don't use, send them in! We can never have enough. We distribute them among several bird cages, primate cages, and even the raccoons and fennec foxes love toys. You may also purchase new toys- just include the receipt and we will send back a certificate of donation for the value received. Our address is listed at the top of the website.

There are some specialty items we need, as well. Both refrigerators in our feed room are pretty old and need to be replaced. If you have a refrigerator that looks like the ones in the picture (but without the rust) and you are interested in donating it, please contact us. We will even come remove it for you! This is a perfect solution for anyone updating their house and getting a new refrigerator. No side-by-sides, please- they don't have enough room to hold large trays and bowls of prepared food for the animals. Know anyone with a refrigerator like we need? Pass on the word... We could also use a newer chest freezer. The one we have is a large capacity model and we use it to store over a thousand pounds of frozen meat for all the cats. Unfortunately, it's getting a bit rusty and the seal is starting to give out. We lost the smaller one several months back and it cost us over 400 pounds of spoiled meat!

Another project we have been working on is animal roofs. The burden of creating a weatherproof roof that can be removed for a hurricane threat was challenging. We have finally found a great solution by using umbrella canopies made of marine canvas that is guaranteed for 5 years. Some of the 8' x 8" cages already have the new style roof. They are custom manufactured by The Umbrella Recovery Company and shipped to us. Each roof is $179.00 plus shipping and we have ten cages to be outfitted in that size, plus the larger cat cages that will need a much larger custom roof. You can send funds directly through paypal to the Umbrella Recovery Company. The paypal account is sales@umbrella-recovery.com Just note on your payment that the money is for the animal roof project at Wild Animal World. You may call directly and speak to Harold or Anne at (888) 551-5221 to send funds via credit card if you do not have a paypal account. Even $10 or $20 dollars will help towards this massive roofing restructure project.
